Diego Cazorla - Biography

 

Prof. Diego Cazorla is full Professor in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Alicante (Department of Inorganic Chemistry and Materials Institute), developing his research in the following areas: i) preparation and characterization of carbon materials (activated carbons, carbon fibres,…), zeolites and composites, ii) heterogeneous catalysis; iii) pollutant removal; iv) materials characterizaton by synchrotron radiation based techniques (SAXS, XAFS, SANS, LAD); v) fundamentals of gas adsorption at low and high pressures; vi) gas storage (methane and hydrogen); vii) electrical energy storage (supercapacitors).

He has more than 160 papers, is author of one book and co-author of 5 patents (4 Spanish, 1 World Patent). Prof. Diego Cazorla has contributed with more than 200 communications to congresses and meetings, and was guest co-editor of an special issue of Carbon Journal (2004). He has been advisor of 12 PhD thesis related to materials science.

Prof Diego Cazorla is Head of the Materials Institute (University of Alicante), and head of the “Carbon Materials and Environment” research group.

Professor Diego Cazorla is founder of G2M Tech and collaborates in development of new products, and scientific supervision of the R&D Department.
